Piper M Class Takes Flight with Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Garmin’s PlaneSync

Elevating sustainability and innovation, Piper Aircraft announces that the M500, M600, and various Meridian models are now approved for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) use. This significant step towards a greener future aligns with the latest aviation standards. Additionally, Piper introduces Garmin PlaneSync for the G3000-equipped M600/SLS, enhancing pilot tools and connectivity.

Sustainable Soaring

In response to global environmental goals, Piper’s adoption of SAF reflects a commitment to reducing emissions in the aviation sector. The FAA and EASA-approved SAF usage, up to a 50/50 blend with traditional jet-A, aligns seamlessly with ASTM requirements. Ron Gunnarson, Piper’s VP of Sales, emphasizes the global applicability of this approval, ensuring no modifications for aircraft specifications or operational procedures.

Meeting Market Demand

Piper’s production philosophy, influenced by economic forces, resonates with market demands. The M class, comprising the M350, M500, and M600, experiences sustained growth, with the M350 attracting attention as a compelling choice. While the aviation market normalizes, Piper anticipates delivering approximately 265 aircraft in 2023, with a strong focus on M class offerings, responding to increased demand, particularly for the M350.
