Introduction To The HondaJet:
Course Material
Lesson 1: The Cockpit
In Lesson 1, Mike O'Keeffe from Banyan Air Service, expresses his excitement as a pilot while showcasing the aircraft's cockpit, specifically focusing on the G3000 system in the HondaJet. He mentions that there's more to the cockpit than just the G3000, and he aims to highlight some of the lesser-known features. While not providing a tutorial on operating the G3000, Mike intends to delve into the fascinating aspects of the system. Starting with an overview, he demonstrates the aircraft's oxygen system and shows how the battery powers up, enabling the ground power to function, providing 28 volts to run the airplane. Furthermore, Mike explains that the cockpit's setup is customizable, allowing pilots to choose their preferred configurations, such as the placement of the checklist depending on the number of crew members.
Lesson 2 - The Exterior
Lesson 2 takes you to Banyan Air Service in South Florida with John "Rain" Waters and Michael Gibson, who is recognized for selling the most HondaJets worldwide. Although not a pilot himself, Michael has become well-versed in the intricacies of the HondaJet over his six years with Honda Aircraft Company. The discussion touches on the evolution of aviation technology and the complexity of modern aircraft systems. Michael also talks about the inception of the HondaJet, which traces back to the late 1980s when the former CEO of Honda Aircraft Company, who designed the aircraft, came to the United States to attend Mississippi State University for aeronautical and aviation purposes.
Throughout the conversation, the video highlights Michael's expertise in selling HondaJets and provides insights into the development of them, from its designer's educational background to the advancements in aviation technology. The focus is on exploring the unique features and history of the aircraft without delving too deeply into technical aspects, making it engaging for both aviation enthusiasts and general viewers.
Lesson 3 - The Cabin
In Lesson 3, John "Rain" Waters and Michael Gibson takes us to the back of the HondaJet, highlighting the interior features and amenities available to passengers. Michael mentions that there are two color options for the interior: tan or Moonlight. In the back area, there is a full-service lavatory with running water, and the doors can be completely closed for privacy. The chairs are comfortable, with armrests and tray tables that can be adjusted to various positions. The interior boasts a smooth and easily cleanable finish, showcasing the high-quality design of the HondaJet. The passengers have control over the climate, lighting, and access to flight information through the cabin management system, which can be managed from their smartphones.
The video focuses on demonstrating the luxurious and user-friendly features of the aircraft's interior, making it an appealing choice for potential buyers and passengers looking for a high-quality flying experience.
